WHY I BUILT BRAIDHOUSE
After creating BeautyBeez in 2019, I realized something: product access was just the beginning.
The disrespect we faced in beauty supplies was the same disrespect freelancers faced in salon structures. Working from home. Renting chairs in spaces not designed for their craft. Compromising everywhere.
Why We Exist
We believe every braider deserves to thrive. In an industry where talent often goes unrecognized and artists work in isolation, we exist to prioritize and empower braiders through community.
How We Do It
What started in 2019 morphed into a bold idea: braiders deserved better. What began as flexible salon space quickly became something more powerful—a community where strangers became collaborators and individual appointments evolved into celebrations.
When our community asked for connection beyond four walls, we listened. The Collective was born from this truth: the most successful braiders are also the most connected. We've evolved from one LA salon space into the first nationwide digital community built specifically for professional braiders, where knowledge flows freely and authentic relationships span thousands of miles.
What We Offer
Physical Space: BraidHouse LA provides flexible workspace solutions, professional-grade equipment, and community programming designed exclusively for braiders and hair freelancers.
Digital Community: The Collective connects braiders nationwide through education, business strategies, peer support, and resources that help transform skilled artists into confident entrepreneurs.
We're on a mission to change the narrative—elevating braiders from outdated stereotypes to the skilled artists and business owners we know you are. When braiders are confident in their pricing, equipped with professional systems, and supported by peers, the entire industry elevates.
Whether you're perfecting your first knotless braid or expanding to multiple locations, you belong here.
This is where braiders find their home, their community, their success. Welcome to BraidHouse.
